Children

Each child who studies here has a profile in your home. Children don’t sign in themselves. You sign in on the family device, and each child picks their own name on the Learning page. Whatever they do is saved to their profile.

To open the list, select Family on the dashboard, then Children.

Add a child

  1. Select Add Child.
  2. Type their Name. A first name or nickname is enough. It’s what they see when they pick themselves.
  3. Choose a Picture.
  4. Choose their School year, or leave it as Not set.
  5. Select Add Child.

A home can have up to 12 children.

Change a child’s profile

  1. Select the child in the list to open their row.
  2. Change their name, picture or school year.
  3. Select Save.

Give a child a PIN

A PIN stops another child opening this child’s page. Learning asks for it each time the child picks their name. A PIN is optional.

  1. Select the child in the list to open their row.
  2. Under PIN, type 4 to 6 numbers in New PIN.
  3. Select Set PIN.

The row shows PIN, and the child’s name on Learning shows a lock. Tell the child their PIN.

To change it, type a new one in New PIN and select Change PIN. To stop asking for it, select Remove PIN.

If a child forgets their PIN, give them a new one here. No one can look a PIN up, and only a parent or guardian can change it.

Remove a child

  1. Select the child in the list to open their row.
  2. Select Remove, then Remove again to confirm.

Their profile and everything saved to it, such as their learning and points, are deleted. This can’t be undone.

Who can do this

Parents and guardians: the home’s admins. Anyone else in the home can pick a child on the Learning page, but can’t add, change or remove children.

If something goes wrong

“Give them a name.” The name is empty. Type a first name or nickname.

“A home can have up to 12 children. Remove one to add another.” Your home has 12 children already.

“Only the home’s parents and guardians can change children.” You aren’t an admin of this home. Ask a parent or guardian.

“A PIN is 4 to 6 numbers.” The PIN is too short, too long, or has something other than numbers in it.

“This child has been removed.” Someone removed the child while you had the list open. Reload the page.
