Learning
Learning lists each child in your home, with their picture and school year. The child who is about to study selects their own name, and their page opens. What they do is saved to their profile.
To open it, select Learning on the dashboard.
This device remembers who was picked, so the next time it opens on the same child.
If your name shows a lock
Your parent has given you a PIN, so your page needs it to open.
- Select your name.
- Type your PIN.
- Select Open.
Your page opens. Each time you come back to Learning, you need your PIN again, so no one else can open your page after you.
Switch to another child
- On the child’s page, select Back.
- The other child selects their name.
Use the study timer
Once you’ve picked your name, the top of each Learning page shows ⏱. It times how long you study.
- Select ⏱.
- Choose 10 min or 15 min.
- Select Start.
The time left shows at the top of the page, and keeps going as you move between pages. When it gets to the end, it shows Time’s up and a message says how many minutes you did.
To stop for a moment, select the time, then Pause. Select Start to carry on. Reset puts it back to the start.
The timer is kept on this device only. If another child picks their name, they start with a new timer.
Change your profile
- On your page, select My Profile.
- Change your name, picture or school year.
- Select Save.
Only a parent or guardian can remove a child. See Children.
See how you’re doing in battles
My Profile also shows Times tables battles: your best go for each mode, and How you’re doing on each table, the share of answers you got right on each table in battles. See Times tables battle.
Who can do this
Everyone in the home. Only parents and guardians can add children. See Children.
If something goes wrong
“No children yet.” No one has added a child to this home. A parent or guardian adds them on Children.
“That PIN isn’t right.” The PIN was wrong. The message says how many tries are left.
“Too many wrong tries.” After 5 wrong tries, no PIN works for 15 minutes. Wait, or ask a parent. A parent can give you a new PIN on Children.
“That child isn’t in this home any more. Choose again.” The child was removed after the page opened. Select another picture.
