Your dashboard and organisations

The dashboard is the page you start from. It shows a card for each area you can use. Select a card to open that area.

To come back to it from anywhere, choose Main menu, then Dashboard.

Open an area

Select a card on the dashboard. You may see:

Learning: each child picks themselves to start studying. See Learning.
Family: rename your family and manage its children and people. Only the family’s admins (parents and guardians) see it. See Family settings.
Messages: questions and messages from your organisation’s admins. See Messages. Only members see it here: admins find Messages on the Family page. It isn’t shown when messages are switched off.

A badge on Messages shows how many messages you haven’t read, for example “2 unread”.

Protect your account

Until you’ve added a passkey or turned on two-step verification, the dashboard shows Protect your account. Without either, the emailed code is your only way in, so losing your email address could lock you out.

Select Set Up to go to your Account page and add one.
Select Not Now to hide it. It comes back after 30 days.

Once you have a passkey or two-step verification, it doesn’t show again.

If you belong to one organisation, the site opens it for you. If you belong to several, you see Select your Organisation after you sign in.

Select the name of the organisation you want.

The dashboard opens for that organisation. Its name is shown at the top of the page.

Switch to another organisation

You can only switch if you belong to more than one organisation.

Choose Main menu.
Select Change Organisation.
Select the name of the organisation you want.

The dashboard opens for that organisation. If you belong to only one, Change Organisation is greyed out and can’t be selected.

Who can do this

Everyone can use the dashboard and switch between the organisations they belong to. Only the family’s admins see the Family card.

A Global Admin who has the platform organisation open sees the platform console instead, with cards for Organisations, Messages, Platform and UI Patterns. See All organisations.

If something goes wrong

“Please choose an organisation you belong to.” The organisation you chose isn’t one of yours. Select one from the list.

Access Suspended You see this page, with “Your access to name has been suspended. Please contact the organiser.”, if every organisation you belong to has blocked you. Contact the organisation’s admins. Select Sign Out to leave.

You don’t see a card you expected Family is only for the family’s admins, and admins find Messages there. Messages is hidden when the platform has switched messages off. Ask an admin of your organisation.
